4th Grade!!

All these tears are because I lost you son,

All these tears because our journey just begun,

All these tears gives life a big dull fade,
Because today you would have been starting the 4th grade!
I didnt get to drop you off out front like I used to,

I didnt get to yell before the door shut, have a good day, and I love you,

Its days like this I miss you most,

Only 8 more hours I would proudly boast,

Only 8 more hours, til I got to again be,
With the lil guy who meant the whole wide world to me,

It feels like I have been kicked in the gut,

So this time I will cry with my eyes wide shut,

And imagine it all, on the ground Ill fall,

And try to make sense and reason of it all,
These days without you are what hurt the most,
Everything felt so much better when you were close,

I try to hide the pain, but that makes it worse,

So I let it rip as I deal with my curse,

A lifetime without you, just seems so unfair,

A lifetime with you, its just to much to bare,

I will end this now before I make it too sad,

I just love being your dad,

your the best son I could have.
