Fathers Day 2012

 

 

  

    

      Remembering all fathers days of the past,

    

  

  

    

      Tyler and I always had such a blast,

    

  

  

    

      a homemade card and big hugs and kiss,

    

  

  

    

      is the things about fathers day that I really miss,

    

  

  

    

      It didn't take much to make me feel 10 feet tall,

    

  

  

    

      grab your mitt, go outside to play some ball,

    

  

  

    

      being a single dad was pretty darn hard,

    

  

  

    

      but it all paid off when I opened that fathers day card,

    

  

  

    

      a Tyler artist rendition of a father and son,

    

  

  

    

      with red hearts, purple flowers and a big yellow sun,

    

  

  

    

      I would wake up a lil late, tired and grumpy,

    

  

  

    

      but by the time I woke up u were there to jump me,

    

  

  

    

      handmade gifts and wishes of a wonderful day,

    

  

  

    

      is the single greatest thing about all of those fathers days,

    

  

  

    

      every day is fathers day when your a dad,

    

  

  

    

      and I cherish every single one of those days that we had,

    

  

  

    

      the memories are faded but still make me smile,

    

  

  

    

      and on these fond things I will sit and reminisce for a while,

    

  

  

    

      close my eyes and I can picture your face,

    

  

  

    

      hear your voice telling me I was your 1st place,

    

  

  

    

      to you I was the worlds greatest dad,

    

  

  

    

      good or bad I was the only one you had,

    

  

  

    

      so I decided to be like my father was for me,

    

  

  

    

      I was determined to be the greatest dad I could be,

    

  

  

    

      I love you Tyler, there isn't much more to say,
